En dag fik mor en masse frugt.

One day, mama got a lot of fruit.

“Hvornår må vi få noget frugt?” spørger vi. “Vi spiser frugten i aften,” siger mor.

“When can we have some fruit?” we ask. “We will have the fruit tonight,” says mama.

Min bror Rahim er grådig. Han smager på al frugten. Han spiser en masse af den.

My brother Rahim is greedy. He tastes all the fruit. He eats a lot of it.

“Se, hvad Rahim har gjort!” råber min lillebror. “Rahim er slem og egoistisk,” siger jeg.

“Look at what Rahim did!” shouts my little brother. “Rahim is naughty and selfish,” I say.

Mor er sur på Rahim.

Mother is angry with Rahim.

Vi er også sure på Rahim. Men Rahim er ikke ked af det.

We are also angry with Rahim. But Rahim is not sorry.

“Skal du ikke straffe Rahim?” spørger lillebror.

“Aren’t you going to punish Rahim?” asks little brother.

“Rahim, du fortryder det snart,” advarer mor.

“Rahim, soon you will be sorry,” warns mama.

Rahim begynder at få det dårligt.

Rahim starts to feel sick.

“Jeg har ondt i maven,” hvisker Rahim.

“My tummy is so sore,” whispers Rahim.

Mor vidste, at dette ville ske. Frugten straffer Rahim.

Mama knew this would happen. The fruit is punishing Rahim!

Senere siger Rahim undskyld til os. “Jeg skal aldrig være så grådig igen,” lover han. Og vi tror alle på ham.

Later, Rahim says sorry to us. “I will never be so greedy again,” he promises. And we all believe him.
