My little brother sleeps very late. I wake early, because I am great!
お日様の光をお部屋に入れるのも私。
I am the one who lets in the sun.
「あなたは、ママの朝のスターよ」とママは言う。
“You’re my morning star,” says Ma.
一人で体を洗えるよ。
I wash myself, I don’t need any help.
水と、青くていやなにおいの石けんを使って何とか上手くやれるよ。
I can cope with cold water and blue smelly soap.
「歯を磨くのを忘れないでね」とママは念を押す。「私が忘れるわけないよ！」と私は答える。
Ma reminds, “Don’t forget teeth.” I reply, “Never, not me!”
洗い終えたら、おじいちゃんとおばちゃんに挨拶をして、みんなが良い一日になるように願うんだ。
After washing, I greet Grandpa and Auntie, and wish them a good day.
それから、服を着て「もう、お姉さんでしょ、ママ」と私。
Then I dress myself, “I’m big now Ma,” I say.
ボタンをはめることも、靴の留め金を留めることもできるよ。
I can close my buttons and buckle my shoes.
そして弟に学校で起こった出来事をぜんぶ教えてあげるよ。
And I make sure little brother knows all the school news.
授業では、どんなことでも一生懸命がんばってるよ。
In class I do my best in every way.
毎日こうやって良いこといっぱいやっているよ。でも、一番好きなことは、とことん遊ぶこと！
I do all these good things every day. But the thing I like most, is to play and play!
