I peel the potatoes.


Mi chap a kyabij.

I chop a cabbage.


Mi grieta di kyarat dem.

I grate the carrots.


Mi wash di biin dem.

I wash the beans.


Mi kot op di botanot.

I cut the butternut.


Mi chap op di spinij.

I chop the spinach.


Mi mada chap op di oniyan.

My mom chops the onions.


Oniyan mek mi baal wen dem chap op.

Onions make me cry when they are chopped.
