I grate the carrots.


Mi ǁkaa caǃhu.

I wash the beans.


Mi ǃxai zare.

I cut the butternut.


Mi ǃxai nǃu’ubu.

I chop the spinach.


Aia ǃxai gǀaqaun.

My mom chops the onions.


Gǀaqaun nǂaitchi’in mi ka mi ǃxai ha.

Onions make me cry when they are chopped.
