Mi tshima tza ǂ’ari. Mi ko coa ka tsau, khama mi te jan!

My little brother sleeps very late. I wake early, because I am great!

Mi hin ku du ǀ’u ǀam.

I am the one who lets in the sun.

“A hin o mi nǃa’an tzi ǂua,” Mi taqe koe nǁae.

“You’re my morning star,” says Ma.

Mi ǁka miǀ’ae, mi ǀoa kxoa hui.

I wash myself, I don’t need any help.

Mi nǂaiǁkoa gǃua ǂa’u kota gǂoah ǀauhn ǁku nǀang.

I can cope with cold water and blue smelly soap.

Aia nǂaiǂ’anga mi, “nǁau ǂ’ari tzausih,” mi mani te ko, “ǀoa o mi!”

Ma reminds, “Don’t forget teeth.” I reply, “Never, not me!”

Ka mi ǁka toan mi ǀ’ae, mi tsxam ǃunǃa’an kota gǁaq, ka nǂai ǁau ge sih.

After washing, I greet Grandpa and Auntie, and wish them a good day.

ǁAma mi ǁaqma, “mi ka o nǃau aia,” Mi koe nǁae.

Then I dress myself, “I’m big now Ma,” I say.

Mi ǃ’o mi konibe kota ǁ’ang gǃoehsih.

I can close my buttons and buckle my shoes.

Te mi nǁuri ka mi tshima ǃ’han skore nǂoahnsi.

And I make sure little brother knows all the school news.

Klasi nǃang mi du tahn toan ko khoe nǀui waqnke.

In class I do my best in every way.

Tci jan waqnke mi du xabe kui mi kaice ge to’oma.

I do all these good things every day. But the thing I like most, is to play and play!
