Ame tani kuhu makunde.

I wash the beans.

Ame tani tete elyangwa.

I cut the butternut.

Ame tani tetagura sipinasi.

I chop the spinach.

Onane tava tetagura nonyanga.

My mom chops the onions.

Nonyanga kuninkisa nge nilire nsene tava di tetagura.

Onions make me cry when they are chopped.
