Indi khuhaasa kapwondi.

I peel the potatoes.


Nakhalaka kapiki.

I chop a cabbage.


Naasyaka tsi karoti.

I grate the carrots.


Nasiinga kamakaanda nabutaama.

I wash the beans.


Naakhalaka piliganya.

I cut the butternut.


Naakhalaka ni sukuma.

I chop the spinach.


Maayi wase waakhalaka bitungulu.

My mom chops the onions.


Bitungulu bindisa kamasika nga balikho babikhalaka.

Onions make me cry when they are chopped.
