I peel the potatoes.


Nkeweawea ikabichi.

I chop a cabbage.


Nkekura karoti.

I grate the carrots.


Nkesanja soko.

I wash the beans.


Nkeweawea matangu.

I cut the butternut.


Nkeweawea mboka.

I chop the spinach.


Mama nakeweawea shtunguu.

My mom chops the onions.


Ili nkeweawea shtunguu mcheng’ele ikesokaa.

Onions make me cry when they are chopped.
