Sakima lived with his parents and his four year old sister.
They lived on a rich man’s land.
Their grass-thatched hut was at the end of a row of trees.
ساده ګل درې کلن وو چې ناروغ شو، او د سترګو نظر يې له لاسه ورکړ. ساده ګل يو تکړه هلک ؤ.
When Sakima was three years old, he fell sick and lost his sight.
Sakima was a talented boy.
Sakima did many things that other six year old boys did not do.
For example, he could sit with older members of the village and discuss important matters.
د ساده ګل مور او پلار د شتمن سړي په کور کې کار کاوه. دوی به سهار وختي له کوره وتل او ماښام ناوخته به بیرته کور ته راتلل. ساده ګل به د خپلې کوچنۍ خور سره په کور کې پاتې کېده.
The parents of Sakima worked at the rich man’s house.
They left home early in the morning and returned late in the evening.
Sakima was left with his little sister.
Sakima loved to sing songs.
One day his mother asked him, “Where do you learn these songs from, Sakima?”
ساده ګل ځواب ورکړ، “مورې دا سندرې لومړی په ذهن کې جوړوم او بیا ېې وايم.”
Sakima answered, “They just come, mother. I hear them in my head and then I sing.”
ساده ګل به خپلې وړې خور ته سندرې ويل ډېر خوښول، په ځانګړې توګه، کله به یې چې خور ډېره خفه وه. خور به يې د ساده ګل سندرو ته غوږ نیوه او هغه به ورته د خپلې خوښې سندرې ویلې. هغې به سندرو ته په خوند غوږ نیولو.
Sakima liked to sing for his little sister, especially, if she felt hungry.
His sister would listen to him singing his favourite song.
She would sway to the soothing tune.
د ساده ګل خور به له هغه غوښتنه کوله، “چې ساده ګله کولی شئ دا سندره بیا ووایې،” ساده ګل به د هغې خبره منله او سندره به یې ورته بیا بيا ویله.
“Can you sing it again and again, Sakima,” his sister would beg him.
Sakima would accept and sing it over and over again.
“What is wrong, mother, father?” Sakima asked.
Sakima learned that the rich man’s son was missing.
The man was very sad and lonely.
ساده ګل خپل مور او پلار ته وويل: “زه کولی شم د هغه لپاره سندرې ووايم. هغه ښايي خوشحاله شي،” خو مور او پلار یې غوښتنه ونه منله. مور او پلار یې ورته وویل، “هغه ډېر شتمن سړی دی. ته یو ړوند هلک یې. ایا ته فکر کوې چې ستا سندرې به له هغه سره مرسته وکړي، او پام به یې غلط شي؟”
“I can sing for him. He might be happy again,” Sakima told his parents.
But his parents dismissed him.
“He is very rich. You are only a blind boy. Do you think your song will help him?”
خو، ساده ګل تسلیم نه شو. د هغه کوچنۍ خور د ساده ګل ملاتړ وکړ. هغې وويل: “د ساده ګل سندرې د لوږې په وخت کې ما ته د ارامۍ احساس راکوي. باور لرم چې د ده سندرې به د شتمن سړي هم ډېرې خوښې شي.”
However, Sakima did not give up.
His little sister supported him.
She said, “Sakima’s songs soothe me when I am hungry. They will soothe the rich man too.”
He stood below one big window and began to sing his favourite song.
Slowly, the head of the rich man began to show through the big window.
کارګرانو خپل کار کول بند کړل. دوی د ساده ګل ښکلې سندره اورېدې. خو د دوی له ډلې يو سړي وويل: “تر اوسه هيڅوک په دې نه دي توانيدلي چې مشر ته تسلي ورکړي، آيا فکر کوئ چې دا ړوند هلک به هغه ته تسلي ورکړي؟”
The workers stopped what they were doing. They listened to Sakima’s beautiful song.
But one man said, “Nobody has been able to console the boss. Does this blind boy think he will console him?”
ساده ګل سندره خلاصه کړه او ولاړ. خو یاد شتمن سړی په هغه پسې په منډه منډه ورغئ او له هغه یې وغوښتل: “مهرباني وکړئ! دا سندره بیا ووایاست.”
Sakima finished singing his song and turned to leave.
But the rich man rushed out and said, “Please sing again.”
At that very moment, two men came carrying someone on a stretcher.
They had found the rich man’s son beaten up and left on the side of the road.
شتمن سړی د خپل زوی په بیا لیدو ډیر خوشحاله شو. هغه ته د تسلیت ورکولو له امله ېې ساده ګل ته انعام ورکړ. هغه خپل زوی او ساده ګل روغتون ته يوړل تر څو ساده ګل هم بېرته خپل د سترګو نظر ترلاسه کړي.
The rich man was so happy to see his son again.
He rewarded Sakima for consoling him.
He took his son and Sakima to hospital so Sakima could regain his sight.
