ဟိုးအယင်ကခါ ပျော်ရွှင်ဖို့ကောင်းရေ မိသားစုတစုဟိပါရေ။
Once upon a time,
there lived a happy
family.
သူရို့စွာ တယောက်နန့်တယောက် တခါလေ့ ရန်မဖြစ်ကတ်ပါ။
They never fought with
each other. They helped
their parents at home
and in the fields.
ယေကေလေ့ သူရို့စွာ မီးနားကို တစ်ခါလေ့ လားခွင့် မရကတ်ပါ။
But they were not
allowed to go near a
fire.
သူရို့စွာ အလုပ်ကို ညဖက်မာရာ လုပ်ကတ်ပါရေ။ ဇာဖြစ်လို့လေ့ဆိုကေ သူရို့စွာ ဖယောင်းနန့် လုပ်ထားလို့ဖြစ်ပါရေ။
They had to do all their
work during the night.
Because they were made of wax!
ယေကေလေ့ သူရို့ထဲက ကလေချေ တယောက်စွာ နီရောင်ခြည်အောက်ကို လားချင်ရေ ဆန္ဒဟိပါရေ။
But one of the boys
longed to go out in the
sunlight.
တရက်နိခါ သူလားချင်စိတ်တဝ ပြင်းပြလာပါရေ။ သူ့ညီချေတိကတော့ကေ သူ့ကို ဟန့်ကတ်ပါရေ။
One day the longing
was too strong. His
brothers warned him…
ယေကေလေ့ တဝနောက်ကျလားခပါယာ။ သူစွာ ပူအားကြီးရေ နီရောင် ခြည်အောက်မာ အရည်ပျော်ကျလားခပါယာ။
But it was too late!
He melted in the hot
sun.
ဖယောင်းချေတိစွာ အရည်ပျော်ကျလားခရေ သူ့အစ်ကို ကို ကြည့်ပြီးကေ တဝ ဝမ်းနည်းလားခကတ်ပါရေ။
The wax children were
so sad to see their
brother melting away.
ယေကေလေ့ သူရို့ အစီစဥ် တခုကို လုပ်ကတ်ပါရေ။ သူရို့ရေ အရည်ပျော်ကျလားခရေ ဖယောင်းခဲကိုယူပြီးကေ ငှက်တကောင်ပုံအဖြစ် ပြောင်းလိုက်ကတ်ပါရေ။
But they made a plan.
They shaped the lump
of melted wax into a
bird.
အရည်ပျော်ကျလားခရေ အစ်ကို ငှက်ဖယောင်းရုပ်ကြီးကို တောင်အမြင့်ကြီးမာ လားတင်လိုက်ကတ်ပါရေ။
They took their bird
brother up to a high
mountain.
နီထွက်လာရေ အချိန်မာ သူစွာ မိုးထဖက် အလင်းရောင်နန့်တတူ တေးခြင်းဆိုပြီးကေ ပျံလို့လားခပါရေ။
And as the sun rose, he
flew away singing into
the morning light.
