Ntonoye ibirayi.

I peel the potatoes.


Nkata akashi.

I chop a cabbage.


Mpata karoti.

I grate the carrots.


Ndoza ibishyimbo.

I wash the beans.


Ndakata unyobwa.

I cut the butternut.


Ndakata amashu.

I chop the spinach.


Mama wange arakata ibitunguru.

My mom chops the onions.


Ibitunguru bintera kurira iyo bikase.

Onions make me cry when they are chopped.
