Kera hariho ingona yari ishonje.

Once there was a very hungry crocodile.

Ijya gushaka icyo kurya, buke buke idatera urusabu. Bucece…

He searched for food slowly and quietly. And then…

CAKI! Ingona iracakira!

POW!!! The crocodile strikes!

Nyuma yabwo inzara irashira, kandi irishima.

After that he is no longer hungry, and he is happy.

Kugeza ubwo itongeye kugira inzara.

Until he gets hungry again.
