I grate the carrots.


Ha’u fase koto sira.

I wash the beans.


Ha’u ko’a lakeru.

I cut the butternut.


Ha’u ko’a bayaun

I chop the spinach.


Ha’u nia mama ko’a liis.

My mom chops the onions.


Liis halo ha’u tanis bainhira ha’u tetak sira.

Onions make me cry when they are chopped.
