ነቲ ድንሽ እቐርፎ።

I peel the potatoes.

ሓንቲ ካውሎ እቕርድድ።

I chop a cabbage.

ነቲ ካሮቲ እርፍርፎ።

I grate the carrots.

ነቲ ባልደንጓ እሓጽቦ።

I wash the beans.

ነቲ ካዕካዕ-ጠስሚ እመትሮ።

I cut the butternut.

ነቲ ስፒናቺ እኽንትፎ።

I chop the spinach.

ኣደይ ነቲ ሽጕርቲ ትቕርድዶ።

My mom chops the onions.

ሽጕርቲ ክቕርደድ ከሎ የንብዓኒ እዩ።

Onions make me cry when they are chopped.
