ሓዊ የንድድ እዩ።

Fire burns.

ሓዊ የብስል እዩ።

Fire cooks.

ሓዊ ሙቐት ይህብ እዩ።

Fire gives warmth.

ሓዊ ብርሃን ይህብ እዩ።

Fire gives light.

ርአ፡ ሓዊ!

Look, fire!

ሓዊ ዘደንቕ እዩ።

Fire is wonderful.

ከምኡ’ውን ሓያል እዩ።

And it is powerful.
