I wash the beans.


Ntematema ekinaazi.

I cut the butternut.


Nsalasala sukuma.

I chop the spinach.


Mama wange asalasala ebitungulu.

My mom chops the onions.


Ebitungulu bindiza nga babisazesaze.

Onions make me cry when they are chopped.
